The love of me

by on February 13, 2012

A French folk song of love “L’Armour de Moy” (The Love of Me), lyrics roughly translated with some help from Google translate:

My love is enclosed
In a beautiful garden
Where grows the rose and lily of the valley
And also the hollyhock

This garden is beautiful and pleasant
It is filled with flowers
It brings on entertainment
Both the night and day

Alas! There is something so sweet
That this sweet nightingale
Who sings at night, early morn
When it is tired, it rests

My love is enclosed

  1. Did you do the translation? Is this a new talent we’ve revealed?

    It’s lovely! Thank you.

Well, I did have some help from Google, but then you know how these machines are they just don’t get the emotion or even the prose in context. My French is fair; my Spanish is much better! And yes, I do have certain hidden or latent talents . . . 🙂
